La Milonga ‘De Los Amigos’

A special milonga is being held in Sheffield on Saturday 10 April to welcome Andres ‘Tanguito’ Cejas and Genoveva Fernandez from Buenos Aires. There’ll be complimentary drinks, a special performance by Andres and Genoveva, plus authentic home-baked empanadas!

This will be held at a new venue for Sheffield: Ruskin Hall, Walkley Reform Club, Fir Street, off South Road, Walkley, Sheffield, S6 3TG. The Club is in an Edwardian building, still with its sprung dance floor, intimate table settings, original furniture and atmospheric lighting.

The organisers say, “In our milonga we have taken our inspiration from the informal gatherings held in the barrios of Buenos Aires… extending a warm welcome and friendship to all lovers of Tango, the dance, its culture and its music.”

Should be a good night… 8.00 p.m. to midnight, admission £6.00.
